"When life gives you lemons, make lemonade" is a proverbial phrase used to encourage optimism and a can-do attitude in the face of adversity or misfortune. Lemons suggest bitterness, while lemonade is a sweet drink. (1)

Eighty percent of self-harm involves stabbing or cutting the skin with a sharp object. By taking the "Lemon-Aid Challenge" we can show our support for anyone who self-harms by eating three slices of lemon. This will show them they are not Alone or Forgotten, in the hopes that they will eat a few wedges of lemon before they Self-Harm, hoping they will forget why they were about to cut themselves.
